Boy has the wind been taken out of my sails!!!!! I was informed that 75% of the pieces I sent back east for Halloween Convention are broken! I think of all the time and love that went into each piece and I am just sick! So much for making my "debut" at the big convention.. That'll teach me to be optimistic wont it?
. I won't be able to duplicate any of them.
I had insurance on them and perhaps I can recoup some of cost but I cannot replace the uniqueness of each item. So much time-- so much enthusiasm.
Gotta go, I think I am going to weep.

Hi Susie,
ReplyDeleteThis is not something to weep too long over. What happened was the packing was probably less than adequate. Learn from this and you'll not have this problem again. I'm sorry that they were broken but it's like a sand castle, sometimes they get washed away by a wave, dangit all.
And one more thing...
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at the detail in your work. It is something really inspiring! Thanks!
Hmmm I don't know Suze you know, with all the work you put into your pieces, I'm sure you packed them exceptionally well. How did you ship? If by UPS, I'm not surprised as they throw the boxes. Did anyone else have this issue? Very dissapointing. I wonder if David from Chickenlips had a problem cause he couldn't attend but shipped also, you might ask him? Maybe it was an internal thing, like whoever received them at the show, and not shipping?
